[Custom Moots Psychlo-X]
We just finished building up this special custom Moots Psychlo-X disc specific cyclocross frame for our best customer. Four months in the making, this Moots frame has a custom paint job done by Spectrum Powder Works in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Our customer wanted the paint job to be reminiscent of some of the wilder splatter paint jobs that were seen on custom mountain bike frames from the 90s. The frame also bears the older Moots script logo on the down tube. Components included a Shimano Ultegra SL group plus a Moots stem and seat post. Wheels were hand built with Chris King ISO disc hubs laced to DT Swiss X470 rims with DT Swiss Competition spokes and DT ProLock alloy nipples. The custom painted Wound-Up fork turns on a Chris King Sotto Voce NoThreadSet. Bike weighs 21.6lbs. as pictured. These pictures do not do this frame and bike justice. Enjoy. A special thank you goes out to everyone at Spectrum Powder Works for their hard work on getting this frame painted. Just simply amazing work!

[2009 Manufacturer Demos]
We will be having a Moots demo on Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at Lake Crabtree County Park. More details to follow in the next few weeks. We should be having a Pivot/BH demo at some point in August of this year as well. We should be hearing more about that demo later in April hopefully.

[2009 NAHBS]
I had the opportunity to attend the 2009 North American Handmade Bicycle Show (NAHBS) in Indianapolis, Indiana this year. It was a great time and had the chance to talk to many of my industry friends/colleagues as well as several frame builders. The bikes and work showcased there was over the top and really shows the talent that many of these frame builders possess. A special thank you goes to everyone at Chris King including Kris B., Chris A. and Chris K. Enjoy the pictures and stay tuned for some exciting news from the shop in the coming weeks....

[Edge Rims]
Just received a pair of the new Edge Composites 1.45 45mm deep tubular rims for a customer's wheel build. One rim weighed 294 grams and the other one weighed 313 grams. Building these rims with DT Swiss 190 ceramic hubs using DT Swiss Aerolite bladed spokes. We will post final weights once they are finished and will also be receiving the clincher version of these rims in about a week for other customer wheel builds.
